There are three main substances secreted in the brain when we feel happy.

・Serotonin

・Oxytocin

・Dopamine

People feel “happiness” when these three are sufficiently secreted.

 

What is serotonin?

“Health of Mind and Body”

When you are relaxed, when you are at peace, when you are relaxing,

It is secreted when you are healing.

If you are always busy, you will run out of serotonin,

You become irritable, angry, and disrupt easily.

When you have enough serotonin, you feel calm and stabilize your mind.

What is oxytocin?

“Happiness brought by human connection”

It is secreted when you feel “enjoyment”,

“happiness” and “comfort” when you are with someone.

 

What is dopamine?

“Feeling of accomplishment through success and achievement of goals”

It is secreted by obtaining something, achieving something, being recognized by others, etc.

Dopamine requires action and effort.

 

The euphoria caused by drinking, shopping, playing games, and gambling is also due to dopamine.

If you get addicted to it, you will become an addiction.

 

Which one is important?

Sort by priority,

① Serotonin > ② Oxytocin > ③ Dopamine

 

Oxytocin needs a partner,

Emotions can be influenced by others,

It is not something that can be obtained stably.

 

Even if you can get the dopamine, you will be greedy for “more, more”.

While it is a source of effort and growth in study and work,

Sometimes you can’t be satisfied with the current situation and you push yourself too hard.

You need to control it.

 

Serotonin can be controlled by yourself,

Be aware of “what exist already” and “what you already have”,

It is happiness that can be obtained immediately by thinking that it is thankful.

Due to serotonin is less euphoric than oxytocin and dopamine,

many people tend to seek oxytocin happiness and dopamine happiness.

This makes it difficult to control.

It’s the reason that the mind will be in an unstable state.
